On February 2, 2012 the MOC Beagles hosted a Falconery Demonstration at Great Meadows in the Plains Virginia. Falconery is the art and practice of manning and training a bird of prey. The presenters first introduced their birds to us in the summer house and they gave us an overview of how they hunt for their food. After the introduction we all went outside to watch the birds hunt and it was totally exhilirating to see. Some of our MOC Beaglers were even able to have a Hawk land on their arm! See the photos..
