Greetings from the MOC Beagles, we wanted to share with you a recap of our 2021-2022 season.
We began by celebrating our 60th anniversary at Bryce Lingo’s Orange Hill in October. There was a fantastic turnout for the lunch celebration, and everyone viewed a slide show spanning six decades.
In December, we were invited by Garon and Donna Stutzman to ride on their carriage in the Middleburg Christmas parade, their mules Pat and Pearl pulled us along! In early January we had our educational outreach day with the Blueridge Wildlife Center. The focus was learning how their ambassadors adapt to survive the winter through hibernation and migration.
Following the conclusion of our spring hunting season we had a tour of the Orange County and Piedmont Kennels. This was a popular family outing, walking hounds, asking questions and learning about their daily care. Important to note that OCH huntsman Reg Spreadborough, his sons Connor and Bradley are in our beagle program. As well as McKenzie Hicks, who’s dad Jordan is the huntsman for Piedmont.
Finally, we would like to reach out and thank our Landowners who provide our kids with the opportunity to ride across their land and experience the joy of hunting and witnessing many forms of wildlife along the way. We had fantastic sport and look forward to more this coming season.
Please join our efforts to keep the MOC Beagles thriving for the children. We appreciate donations of any size to continue our mission with the children and hounds. Your charitable contribution will continue connecting children of all ages to the great outdoors and teach them the importance of our local natural resources.
